JADA: Private Digital Illustration/Painting Course

What is JADA:
JADA is simply a one-on-one private digital drawing/illustration/painting course. It is a means through which people from all walks of life, young and old can experience and learn to create arts. 3 reasons make the difference between JADA and the rest of the courses out there:

1. The one-on-one approach. Every session will be only the teacher and the student.
2. Comfort of their own home. Students will get to practise creating art at the comfort of their very own home.
3. Small scale, hence small investment. As the course is conducted in such a way, the expenses will also be minimize.

I had been a freelance illustrator and has been creating artworks for more than 7 years. I also has some experience in teaching drawings and illustrations to various primary schools with classes averaging 30 pupils each, I have also received awards and features from:

1. 2nd Runners Up winner in Mangaka 07; a Singapore digital arts competition.
2. Top 10 Designs for Youth.sg Tote Bag design Competition 2010
3. Culturepush: http://culturepush.com/2010/02/15/joshua-tay
4. ImagineFX Issue 86 DVD FXPose Gallery
5. Publications in Aspiring Mangaka & Writers' Club 2nd Anthology (2010)

I obtained education in arts and design from Egg Story Digital Arts Academy in Certification in 2D Traditional Animation and in Digital Painting, also with FZD School of Design in Certification in Dynamic Sketching and in Concept Drawing.

What students need to know.
- Students are not required to have any experience in arts or design, however, it would be great if you have some artworks that you have done previously so that I can judge the skills you may already have.
-  Students would require to have a tablet for drawing and painting(either Bamboo or WACOM would suffice.)
- Students can choose whether they would like to learn to create characters, vehicles, creatures or environment.
- Students will be given various resources which will help in their creative and aesthetic developments.
- Students will be tasked to complete exercise which they had learn from the course.
-  Students also are required to have their own art materials such as pen, pencil, sketch book, a tablet, PC or laptop.

So how much:
As mention, the course is spread to 10 weeks. One lesson each week and each lesson will be taught in 2 hours. The cost of the total course is 800 Singapore dollars only. Students are required to pay at least half of the total amount before the start of the course. Students also are required to have their own art materials such as pen, pencil, sketch book, a tablet, PC or laptop.

I won't promise that you will be superstar artist overnight. However, you'll definitely save yourself lots of time & money going round in circles, trying to find the answer. You will not need to bang your head onto walls as much as I did trying to find the solution. With the approach of this course, students will not be afraid or shy to ask questions and will be encouraged to ask whenever in doubt. With the coaching done right in the comfort home, the student can save more time and money traveling around. The course is also cater for working adults who might want to learn arts but do not have the time to do it. They may like to learn for leisure or recreation above their tight commitments and busy schedules.

JADA is the right solution to bridge the individual to the arts and design.
